Bid
26-OLEH-037Full post
Editorial, motion design, color, audio post, conform and delivery of fourteen masters. Eight chapter videos and six bumpers for the sHTG KOL video series. 39 days.
Editorial and motion design
The same cut and the same animation, turned over for another house to finish. 33 days.
Eight chapter videos, three to seven minutes, most closer to three. Six bumpers at sixty seconds. Fourteen deliverables, 16:9, English, for website and tablet use. Roughly fifty supplied graphics animated.
Cut from a three-camera shoot, one talent on a white cyc, December 9 and 10 in Denver. The talent reads to lens and then paraphrases from bullet points, and both performances are woven together in the cut. Masters at 3840×2160, ProRes 422 HQ and MP4, one frame rate chosen at kickoff.
Standard rates apply. Finishing is not sold on its own: if the masters carry our name, the grade, the mix and the spec QC are ours too.

Capabilities
26-OLEH-037Multicam and long-form. Scripted-to-lens, documentary, chaptered series, and the kind of cut that holds a single speaker for twenty minutes. Assistant editor $550. The days quoted include working client notes and our own internal pass before each delivery.
A system designed once and applied across a series. Chart, table and infographic builds, title frames, lower thirds, supers and logo animation.
Rotoscoping, motion tracking, 3D compositing, screen replacement, paint and cleanup. Graphics that sit in the scene instead of on top of it.
Look development, grade across a full series, and trims cut to each delivery spec.
Mix, sound design, voiceover lay-in, music cut to length, and loudness delivered to spec.
Conform, spec QC, captions and SRT, versioning and cutdowns, and masters built to broadcast and web specifications. Post producer $850.
Everything above is covered by the lines in this bid at the complexity this series calls for. Work that builds new scenes, sets or environments from scratch sits outside them and is quoted.
No budget has been stated for this job, so standard rates apply. Color and audio post are specialist disciplines, resourced and supervised by us and quoted at their own rates rather than averaged into a single finishing figure.

Timeline
26-OLEH-037Two things were asked for that do not line up. The brief sets final delivery in mid-February. The October 9 call sets three rounds of review with five full business days for each. Run in one block against fourteen deliverables, that math returns the last notes on February 11 and leaves no room to finish.
The calendar above solves it rather than arguing with it. The look is settled before the holidays, not the piece. Motion system frames go out four days after footage and a hero chapter V1 follows on December 18, so there is something real to respond to over the break. What gets approved on December 23 is the look, which then holds for all fourteen; the chapters themselves are assembled against it in January rather than designed inside a review.
Deliverables then roll. Three waves, each with its own five-day round, each finishing and delivering as it clears. Masters arrive January 22, February 5 and February 12 rather than all on one date, which is what makes a mid-February finish real instead of arithmetic.
No reviews land between December 24 and January 1. Medical-legal review is separate from the three client rounds and the bid specs sheet leaves its count blank: one cycle is assumed, with comments returned within ten business days. Each additional cycle is quoted at the day rates of whoever it takes and moves that wave day for day.
Reel
26-OLEH-037Short form in a regulated category, with the legal line composed in rather than added at the tail.
Twenty-one minutes, interview-led, chaptered so a viewer can find the section they came for.
Seventeen minutes of figures and chart work for a room that came for the data.
This series is long-form direct-to-lens delivery and data animated to someone else's brand system, which is what the work above is.

26-OLEH-037Built graphics, supers and final ISI copy by December 4, 2026, layered and editable with fonts. Six and a half of the twenty-three days are animation and none starts before they land. A flattened file is a rebuild at $300.
The brief puts the set at about fifty supplied graphics. How that splits between complex chart and table builds and simpler titles, lower thirds and ISI cards is not known yet, and neither is how motion-heavy the bumpers want to be. The motion design line is sized for the whole set at the complexity described rather than guessed line by line. A set that arrives materially heavier than that, or one that asks for new scenes or environments built from scratch, is re-quoted rather than absorbed.
The RFP lists eight chapters; the October 9 call described seven, and the bumpers were put at four to six. This bid is built on days, not on a price per video. The ingest, the motion system, the review rounds and the finishing pass are the same work whether the series lands at twelve deliverables or fourteen, so losing one chapter or a couple of bumpers does not move the number materially. A chapter is roughly half a day of editorial and a share of the animation pass, about $750; a bumper is about $200. Anything larger than that, a whole wave removed or added, is re-quoted rather than adjusted.
Three client rounds are included. A round is one consolidated set of notes across every deliverable in that wave, returned in one document. Rounds are not billed as a line. Working notes is absorbed across the disciplines above rather than counted as a day against each one, and the days quoted carry it along with our own internal pass before anything reaches the client. Anything wrong against the agreed scope is corrected in as many passes as it takes, at no charge. New direction is a round, and a fourth is quoted at the day rates of whoever it takes, as is each additional medical-legal cycle, with that wave moving day for day.
Script, manuscript, claim substantiation, talent release and HIPAA compliance are the client's. ISI voiceover is supplied; the scrolling ISI build and end placement are included on all fourteen.
$1,500 covers a library track cleared for buyout, online and medical-conference use, cut to each length. A fully custom score is $5,000 to $7,000 minimum.
The shoot and the pre-light day, graphic design, 9:16 versions at $150 each, captions and SRT at $900 for all fourteen, and drives or physical media. Captions are called out because the RFP asks for them and the October 9 call did not.
50% on award, 50% on final delivery. Net 30. If the job is canceled after assets have landed and work has begun, 50% of the fee is due. Pricing holds thirty days from October 16, 2026.
